An archery enthusiast, but not a current UNCC student, faculty or staff member? Unfortunately, right now, only current UNCC students, faculty and staff, with valid 800 numbers and approved waivers through OrgSync can participate in club practices on campus. But others are more than welcome to visit us and chat while we practice! Those interested should contact Heather Freeman about joining the USA Archery Adult Program club.  We cannot shoot on campus, and this club does not have a range or equipment.  But we can participate in local, regional and national USA Archery and NCFAA events as adult members affiliated with the club.

Want One of Our Awesome Shirts? You can come out to an Open Shoot and purchase one of the official club shirts for $12. All proceeds go to support the UNCC Archery Club.  If you're rather have a hoodie, tank, baby onesie, or not-white shirt, you can also purchase one from Society6.com. See images below!

Hoodies, tanks, kids and onesies in multiple colors also available.

Old News - UNC Charlotte's First Intercollegiate Fun Shoot

Thank you to all the participants who came out for Charlotte's first EVER intercollegiate 'Fun Shoot'; it was fantastic meeting you all (and seeing some familiar faces) and we're looking forward to more meet-ups between out universities!   Besides UNC Charlotte students, we had folks from UNC Wilmington and UNC Asheville attend: AWESOME meeting you all!

It was great to have current (and hopefully future) JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) kids and their parents and grandparents there as well.  Besides the invaluable help from the JOAD parents in judging and scoring, we're looking forward to more shoots together in the future.

Thank you, especially, to the UNC Charlotte Archery Club President Chirag Patel and Secretary Hudson Reynolds for setting up and striking the event: it couldn't have happened without you. Seriously.  And along those lines, thank you to the Associate Director of Sports Clubs Max Mellow and his assistant Brittany Payne for all the Rec Services help both before the shoot (with logistics and legal stuff) and during (with paint cans and foot-traffic direction).

Here's looking to more events in the future!

Getting set up; first folks arrive.

More arrivals.

First practice end... and it's finally warmed up above 50!

Great diversity of bow styles and shooting styles!

Scoring ends continue. Red buds a-bloomin'.

Making new friends during the break.  (And President Chirag Patel sporting Charlotte Archery's rocking' t-shirt.)

Scoring: a new skill for most everyone there. And now accomplished!

Secretary Hudson's Official Dress Code:
Putting the fun back into 'fun shoot'!

More scoring... everyone is getting the hang of it.

It turned into a gorgeous day here in Charlotte, North Carolina! Looking forward to the next one already!
